Earlier this week, Jan and the Zaffra leadership team had the privilege of visiting Sasol's Research and Technology team at their Fischer Tropsch (FT) fuel production plants in South Africa. What an amazing team! The Zaffra team were deeply impressed by Sasol's technology focus and dedication to continuously improve yields and efficiencies (and the magnitude of the sites!) which underpins the potential of FT technology in aviation’s decarbonisation journey. We jointly explored the advancements in FT Technology and its opportunities for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production.
Zaffra’s positioning to combine Sasol’s FT experience with Topsoe’s proven carbon emission reduction technologies will deliver an even greater potential to reduce cost and improve scale of advanced Bio/Power to Liquid (BtL/PtL) pathways of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production.
